Day Safari
Garden Route Game Lodge

Thankfully gone are the days of the bloodthirsty hunters and explorers who decimated much of the wildlife of Africa. Today the only shooting done is with cameras. Established in 1999 as the first private game reserve in the Western Cape province, this malaria-free family friendly game reserve is home to a variety of animal and birdlife including the Big 5. Game drives are conducted in open Land Rovers with experienced game rangers who will bring you to sightings of lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, cheetah and many more animals. Afterwards we take you to a nearby Aloe factory where you discover how this plant has been harvested by Africans for centuries for its miraculous healing properties and is now exported worldwide.
